Free Wi-Fi in Hong Kong

When visiting Hong Kong, there will be time when you would like to check your email or post on your blog. There are a number of places you can access free Wi-Fi but there is no better place than McDonald's.

McDonald's has been offering 20 minutes free WiFi for all customers in there 24 hours locations since Mar2007. This program is offered in conjunction with Y5Zone and you can access the service through the Y5Zone SSID. Once connected, you can just click on the image "20 minutes FREE WiFi everyday" to start surfing. To continue to surf after the first 20 minutes, you can also pay for the extra service and the cost is HKD15 for unlimited use for 1 day, HKD39 for unlimited use for 5 days or HKD128 for unlimited use for 30 days.

Other than 24 hours McDonald's, PCCW is also offering free WiFi to passengers in Hong Kong International Airport. This service is provided through the SSID Free WiFi.
